Top 10 Volume Boosters For Android

If you are having problem to hear your phone’s ringtone or notification sound every now and then and are looking for a way to increase the default volume, you are not the only one. Fortunately, there are some apps available on the app store that can enhance your smartphone’s default volume. We have reviewed some of the best ones just for you and made a list of 10 best volume booster for Android.

Note: All the apps posted here were tested on Samsung Galaxy S5 running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat based stock ROM. Playing audio at high volumes may damage your speakers so proceed with caution while boosting your default volume up. Also, most of these apps contain pop-up ads, which are inevitable for free apps to maximize earning.

Ultimate Volume Booster

Ultimate Volume Booster

Ultimate Volume Booster by porrassoft is the best app I have reviewed here and I actually noticed some difference after boosting my volume. The UI is simple if not highly attractive and all you have to do is tap one button to increase your phone’s volume. It showed me a 23% increase after it was done boosting and I did notice a change. It works with your headphone and speakers and can boost your phone’s audio quality. There’s no settings to look for and it doesn’t stay in your notification bar which can be a problem but overall, it’s worth checking.

Features

  • Really easy to use
  • One tap boosting
  • Works with speakers and headphone

Volume Booster Pro

Volume Booster Pro

Volume Booster Pro by DizzyFuzy is one of the best app volume booster I came across so far. It worked for me and managed to boost my phone’s volume slightly. There is not much to talk about its user-interface as there is only button to look for. You just have to tap one button and you are done. It doesn’t give you option to control your notification sound, system sound or other sound separately which can be a problem for some users. Another negative side of this app is that it doesn’t show up in your notification bar whether it’s active or inactive so it can be confusing sometimes.

Features

  • One tap boosting option
  • Small in size
  • User-friendly UI

Volume Booster

Volume Booster by Lagra Soft

Volume Booster by Lagra Soft is a nice little app that can give you a rich bass experience. It doesn’t really do much to boost your default volume but it can give you control over your alarm, keypad sound, music, notification sound, system sound and voice call sound separately. It doesn’t show any magical improvement but I did notice some improvement in bass after boosting. However, you will face ads every now and then right after opening the app which can be really annoying sometimes.

Features

  • Attractive, user-friendly UI
  • Small in size
  • One touch system for boosting
  • Separate options for controlling alarm, keypad sound, music, notification sound and other

Speaker Booster

Speaker Booster by Wait What

Speaker Booster by Wait What looks quite similar to Volume Booster by Lagra Soft with a small difference. You can control only your phone’s system, media and notification volume. The app believes it can increase your overall sound by “15-30%” but it’s hardly noticeable. Like most of the volume boosters, you just have to tap one button to boost your phone’s volume. You can keep it in your notification bar if you want but turning it off can be a difficult process as there is no real exit option to look for. The ad attacks can also get annoying sometimes.

Features

  • One tap boosting
  • Nice, user-friendly UI
  • Separate options for system, media and notifications volume

Volume Booster

Volume Booster by lovekara

Volume Booster by lovekara works just like Volume Booster by Lagra Soft and gives you six different option to control your phone’s volume: ring, notification, alarm, voice call, media and system. You just have to tap one button to boost and you are done. The app also gives you option to switch to vibration or silent mode. Unlike Volume Booster by Lagra Soft, you can keep it as a notification icon for easy access. You can also change the skin of this app if you want. You won’t notice much change in the volume but it works better than the stock volume controller.

Features

  • Remembers your preferred settings and adjust the volumes automatically when your headphone is plug in or pull out or your phone is turned on
  • Options for quickly switching to vibration or silent mode
  • One tap boosting
  • Multiple skins to choose from

Volume Booster

Volume Booster by D&V

Volume Booster by D&V is an attractive looking app with a user-friendly interface. It doesn’t show huge improvement but it slightly boosts your phone’s overall volume. You get three separate options to choose from: Music, System and Alarm. There is also a slider for stopping boost if you want to. You get option to keep it in your notification bar and you can also set app reminder if you want to. The app is quite heavy comparing to other volume boosters I have reviewed. If you don’t have any problem with too much ad, you can check out this app and see if works on your phone or not.

Features

  • User-friendly UI
  • Easy one tap option for boosting volume
  • App reminder

Sound Booster

Sound Booster by Wolfie Apps

Sound Booster by Wolfie Apps looks quite similar to Volume Booster by Lagra Soft at first when you see the loading screen. However, it’s a completely different story inside as there is only one button to tap there. It’s only 630K in size and doesn’t require a lot of permission like other app which is a plus. It doesn’t really boost a phone’s default maximum volume but makes it easy for users to get the maximum volume for all audio streams of the phone.

Features

  • One tap boost for all audio streams of the phone
  • Attractive, easy to use UI
  • Light in size

Speaker Boost

Speaker Boost by Omega Centauri Software

Speaker Boost by Omega Centauri Software is slightly different than the rest of the apps here and doesn’t offer a one tap boost option. Instead, it gives you a slider to boost your phone’s volume. It’s only 47k in size and doesn’t require giving any heavy permission. However, before you try it, it’s important that you know that it does not work on Android 4.2.1 and higher devices. Moreover, it won’t boost your phone call volumes and only works for adjusting the volume of movies, apps and music. It’s easy to turn it on and off and it stays in your notification bar if you want it to. After going through a lot of trouble to find a phone that’s running Android 4.1.2, I tested the app and the result was not very satisfactory.

Features

  • Really small in size
  • Simple, user-friendly UI
  • Slider for boosting volume

Bass Booster

The next two app we shared here are bass boosters and will only boost your bass. It doesn’t affect your phone’s volume but it can ruin your music hearing experience sometimes if your stock player’s bass booster is already doing a good job.

Music Volume EQ

Music Volume EQ by K&K design

Music Volume EQ by K&K design is a visually attractive bass booster that works quite well. The user interface is both easy to use and nice to look at. You can set option for this app to start automatically on boot, auto start or stop and make the widget transparent. There are 9 equalizer presets to choose from and you can also add virtualizer effect if you want. If you are looking for a bass booster, you should definitely check out this one.

Features

  • Visually appealing yet easy to use
  • Easy to turn on and off
  • Works as home screen widget

Bass Booster

Bass Booster by Desaxed Studio

Bass Booster by Desaxed Studio is a simple, lightweight app that gives you control over your phone’s bass. You get 20 presets to choose from and the pro version features unlimited custom presets. However, I didn’t face any ad attack which is really a great thing comparing to all the other booster apps. I did notice a change in bass after boosting it using this app. You can also play with the equalizer if you want or choose one from the available presets.

Features

  • Really small in size
  • Easy to use
  • Doesn’t show ad like other free apps

Any volume boosters that are not spam adware/crapware. The ads on these are horrible.

    • JustSumGuy

or that don’t need to be run over and over, I want the volume setting to “SET” and forget. every time I reboot my phone, pop my battery, run my battery down whatever I have to pull in the app and run it again to get a reasonable volume level. Annoying.
